Columbia, Mo.--Dominick Moyer was named the No. 1 seed at 141 pounds for the 2007 Big 12 Championships Saturday at the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Mo.
The senior from Oskaloosa, Iowa, has wrestled to a 25-6 record in his senior season, including a 13-3 dual mark. Moyer solidified his case as the top 141-pounder in the league by winning all four of his Big 12 matches.
At 157 pounds, Chris Oliver is the No. 2 seed. Oliver finished the regular season strong on his way to a 17-6 record for the season. Picking up No. 3 seeds were Paul Donahoe at 125 pounds and Craig Brester at 197 pounds.
Jordan Burroughs (149), Stephen Dwyer (165), Marc Harwood (174) and Cameron Browne (HWT) were seeded fourth in their respective weight classes, while Mike Rowe (133) and Levi Wofford (184) were given the No. 5 seed in their weight classes.
The 2007 Big 12 Wrestling Championships begin at 11 a.m. with first round matches from the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Mo. The finals matches will be aired on a tape-delayed basis on Sunday, March 11 at 12:30 p.m. on FSN Midwest (channel 37 in Lincoln).
