Huskers Topple Navy

Lincoln-The Nebraska rifle team advanced its season to 2-1 after picking up a 4,648-4,564 win over Navy on Saturday, Oct. 28, at the E.F. Horton Range in Fairbanks, Alaska.

NU outscored Navy in both air rifle (2,342-2,312) and smallbore (2,306-2,252). Husker shooters also placed on top of each event individually.  Senior Kristina Fehlings shot the match-high score in air rifle with a 590 while junior Kirsten Weiss earned top honors in smallbore with a score of 584.

The Huskers face the seven-time NCAA National Champion Alaska-Fairbanks team today.  Rifle action began at 9 am and will conclude at 3 pm.
