Toledo, Ohio - Senior Brady Schnell's second-round score of 70 propelled the University of Nebraska men's golf team to 10th place through the first two rounds of the sixth-annual Inverness Intercollegiate Invitational today at the par-71, 7,255-yard Inverness Club. Schnell began with an 80 in the first round, giving him a score of 150 through the first day to put him in a tie for 10th place individually. Schnell was in the top four in the tournament with birdies as he snagged a total of seven. Nebraska's team total of 616 (311-305) puts them in 10th in the competitive field of 15 and just three strokes out of the top half of the field. Senior Drew Reynolds stands just behind Schnell with a 154 (75-79), leaving him in a tie for 26th. Senior Ty Capps fills the third spot for the Huskers with a 156 (75-81), placing him in a tie for 37th. Senior Ryan Lenahan rounded out the Husker's scoring lineup with a 160 (85-75), leaving him in 61st. Lenahan was in the top ten individually in par-five scoring, finishing two-under par on par-five holes. Freshman Jamie Marshall fired a 166 (81-85) in his collegiate debut, placing him in a tie for 72nd. TCU leads the tournament with a team total of 594 (295-299). Southern California (303-299) and Coastal Carolina (299-303) are tied for second with a total of 602, while Georgia (305-301) and Florida (303-303) round out the top five with 606. Tournament officials also announced that tomorrow's final round will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start due to expected inclement weather. Teams were originally slated to tee off individually beginning at 8:00 a.m.
