All seven members of the <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Nebraska rifle team earned a place on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll for their academic achievements in the 2006 Spring Semester.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
Senior Misty Chanek, who received her bachelor’s degree in horticulture in May, led the accomplished group by producing a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. This is Chanek’s fifth consecutive selection to the Honor Roll.
Kim Chrostowski, Kirsten Weiss and Katie Harrington all made their fourth straight appearances on the list, followed by Andrea Franz?n and 2006 NCAA Air Rifle Champion Kristina Fehlings with their third consecutive selections. Stacy Underwood capped the group with her second straight and fourth overall spot on the Honor Roll.
Chrostowski, Weiss, Franz?n and Harrington, who make up Nebraska’s 2004-05 freshman class, have each been named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in every semester while at Nebraska.
The Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who earned a 3.0 GPA or higher during the previous semester. Overall, Nebraska had 249 student-athletes named to the spring honor roll, including 38 who produced perfect 4.0 grade-point averages during the spring semester.
