Huskers Finish Seventh at HEB Tournament

Corpus Christi, Texas - The No. 50 Nebraska men's tennis team finished the HEB Tournament in seventh place after defeating Brigham Young, 4-0, Saturday afternoon in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The Huskers won the doubles point after junior Adrian Szatmary and senior Joerg Barthel won at No. 2, 9-7, over Christian Hand and Henry Marsh.  Juniors James Clow and Arturo Navarro sealed the point for NU with a win over Dominik Kaufold and Ivan Kokurin, 9-7.

In singles action, Clow defeated Hand, 6-2, 6-0, while Mark Tate beat Jose Juis Lechuga, 6-4, 6-3.  Freshman Hendrik Stahmer finished it for the Huskers, beating Zack Warren, 6-1, 6-0.

The Huskers return to action on March 15 when they play Armstrong-Atlantic in Honolulu, Hawaii.
