Senior Amie Buoy was one of two Husker divers to place in the top 10 on the three-meter dive with her third-place finish at the Trojan Diving Invite Friday afternoon in Los Angeles, Calif.
Buoy, who also finished sixth on the one meter (226.15), had a final round total of 260.05 to improve from her preliminary round total of 243.40 in which she placed fifth, while redshirt freshman Courtney Jolly jumped to eighth with a total of 216.80 after placing 12th in the prelims. She later placed 12th on the one meter (182.60) and qualifying with a ninth-place showing (207.90) in the prelims.
Junior Becky Johnson was Nebraska’s second highest placer on the day as she was seventh (221.00) on the one meter after placing 17th (207.15) on the three meter.
Junior Danielle Stansbury placed ninth on the one meter with a score of 212.20 after she narrowly missed out on a spot in the finals on the three meter when she was 14th (213.65) in the prelims.
The Trojan Diving Invite wraps up Saturday with the platform dive at 10 a.m. CST.
