No. 36 Nebraska Rolls Over Kansas, 6-1

Lawrence, Kan.--The No. 36 Nebraska women's tennis team dominated the Kansas Jayhawks, 6-1, Saturday in Lawrence. Nebraska improved to 13-2 on the season and 4-2 in conference play, while KU dropped to 2-9 on the year, including xx-zz in league play.

In singles, freshman Ellinor Zugner recorded the third win of her career. At the No. 6 slot, Zugner defeated KU's Stephanie Smith in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. Junior Ewelina Skaza remained undefeated at the No. 4 slot when she beat Lauren Hommell in a three-set thriller, 6-3, 6-7 (0), 6-2.

In doubles, NU took all three matches. Newcomers Skaza and freshman Imke Reimers posted their 13th win together by defeating Christine Skoda and Ashley Filberth, 8-5. At the No. 3 slot, Schulz-Gartner and Zugner defeated Luiza Loureiro and Elizaveta Adeeva, 8-5.

The Huskers next play at No. 67 Long Beach State on Saturday, March 19, at 11 a.m.
