10 Women's Tennis Players Named to Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll

Lincoln, Neb.?All eight members of the No. 52 Nebraska women's tennis team and two former letterwinners were named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll announced Friday. The 10 were among 257 current student -athletes from Nebraska to be recognized.

This is the seventh time senior Gitte Ostermann has been named to this list. Ostermann is a three-time first-team academic All-Big 12 selection. Also named to the fall honor roll were senior captain Katie Garcia, Pamela Castillejos, Jennifer Cremieux, Imke Reimers, Milena Schulz-Gartner, Ewelina Skaza and Ellinor Zugner.

Former letterwinners Leslie Harvey and Anna Oehme also received recognition. Harvey and Oehme completed their eligibility after the 2004 season.

The Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who have earned a 3.0 grade-point average or higher during the previous semester.

The Huskers hit the court this Saturday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m. at the Woods Tennis Center when they face conference foe Missouri.
