Lincoln -- The No. 70 Nebraska women’s tennis team breezed to an easy 7-0 win over Wichita State Friday night at Woods Tennis Center. The Huskers won four of six singles matches in straight sets and swept all three doubles matches to take the doubles point and improve to 4-0 on the season. Wichita State fell to 0-2.
Three Huskers remained undefeated on the season, improving to 4-0. No. 2 singles player Leslie Harvey defeated Wendi Webster, 6-4, 7-6 (8-6), Anna Oehme beat Natalia Guzman, 4-6, 6-2 (10-3) at No. 3 singles, and Pamela Castillejos defeated Genevieve Spink, 6-0, 5-2, in the No. 5 spot.
Other Nebraska singles winners were Milena Schulz-Gartner in the No. 1 spot, Rose Ketmayura at No. 2 singles and Katie Garcia at No. 6 singles.
The Huskers return to action Sunday at 10 a.m. at Woods Tennis Center, when they face Wyoming.
