Balan, Frisch Ousted in Quarterfinals of Central Regional

Tulsa, Okla. -- Sixth seeded senior Katarina Balan was upset in the second round of the Central Regional, Thursday afternoon by New Mexico State's Stella Veerman, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.

In other action sophomore Rebecca Harvey was defeated in the first round of the consolation finals by 6-3, 4-6, (10-6) by Sheri Esrock of Utah. Senior Amy Frisch was defeated by Sarah Blain of Montana, 5-7, 6-3, (10-2) in the first round of the consolation final.
