Nebraska Finishes 10th at Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate

Brighton, Colo. -- The Nebraska men's golf team finished 10th at the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Tuesday, with a total score of 895 over 54 holes. The Huskers used a final-round score of 295 to improve to 10th place overall. Over the two-day tournament, the Huskers shot rounds of 302, 298 and 295.

Denver won the tournament title with a three-round score of 859. Oral Roberts' Miguel Griego shot winning rounds of 71, 68 and 67 for a total of 206 to take home individual medallist honors.

Three Huskers finished the tournament tied for 33rd place. Senior Blake Humbles and juniors J.J. Sullivan and Jim Troy all recorded a final score of 224 to take the top three spots on the Nebraska roster. With a total score of 226, freshman Jonathan Aten finished in a 40th-place tie. Meanwhile, sophomore Justin Borzych shot a 228 over three rounds to complete the tournament in a tie for 48th.

The Huskers will return to the links for the Purina Classic on October 8-9 in St. Charles, Mo.
