Huskers Struggle Through Day One of Big 12 Invite

Stillwater, Okla. -- The Nebraska womens golf team sits in last place after the first two rounds of the Big 12 Invitational Monday at Karsten Creek Golf Course in Stillwater, Okla. NU posted rounds of 331 and 324 en route to a two-round total of 655.

Oklahoma State holds a four-stroke lead over Ohio State with a score of 592 after the first two rounds, while Tulsas Stacy Prammanasudh has a one-stroke advantage in the individual standings with a 1-under 143.

Playing with three freshmen in the starting lineup, NU managed only two sub-80 scores on the day. Freshman Merynn Ito, who is currently tied for 42nd, and junior Amanda Krane, who is tied for 48th, both fired scores of 6-over 78 in the second round to provide the low scores for the Huskers.

Nebraska returns to the links tomorrow for the final round on the par-72, 6,024-yard layout.
