Husker Bowlers Win Third Tournament

Chicago, Ill. - The Nebraska women's bowling team won the Great Lakes Collegiate Classic this weekend in Chicago, Ill. The Huskers were victorious over 27 other teams and ended the tournament with 9,920 pins, 325 pins better than Wichita State.

Freshman Shannon Pluhowsky won her fourth straight tournament after she defeated the rest of the 168 bowlers with an average of 233 in eight games. Freshman Christina Perez and junior Diandra Hyman ended the event in third and fifth place to round out the Huskers' top 10.

The next competition for the Nebraska bowling team is Nov. 24-25 at the National Collegiate Match Games in St. Louis, Mo.
