Hadzialic and Tongoona Finish Runner-up

Cambridge, Mass. -- The Huskers faired well in the final day of the Harvard Invite on Sunday. Senior Adnan Hadzialic and junior Fungai Tongoona both finished runner-up in the Flight "A" and "B" brackets, respectively.

In the championship match Hadzialic lost to Harvard's Oliver Choo in three sets, 6-1, 5-7, 6-4, while Harvard's George Turner outlasted Tongoona, 6-1, 6-3.

Head Coach Kerry McDermott felt that his team played at the caliber of a top 50 team. "This invitation was a good indication of where we stand," McDermott said. "I feel like we have nowhere to go but up."

The Huskers next meet is slated for October 6-9 at Stone Mountain, Ga., for the pre-qualifying ITA All-American Championships.
