Husker Women Defeat Eastern Michigan, 7-2

Lincoln--The Nebraska women's tennis team opened the 2000 season with a victory over Eastern Michigan at the Woods Tennis Center. Senior Sandra Noetzel, currently ranked 57th by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, defeated Rebecca Hawkins of Eastern Michigan in straight sets to notch her 85th career victory.

Nebraska will return to action Saturday, Feb. 12, when the Huskers play host to the Texas Longhorns at the Woods Tennis Center beginning at 10 a.m.
