Husker Fire Power Too Much For Austin Peay State

Murray, Ky - The Nebraska women's rifle team competed against Austin Peay State University in the Roger Withrow Invitational Rifle Match hosted by Murray State University on Saturday. Shooting head to head against the Lady Govs, the Huskers were led by freshman Nicole Allaire, who fired a 394 out of a possible 400. Fellow freshman Victoria Ridge shot a 386, followed closely by Amanda Trujillo's 385. Terim Richards rounded out the scoring for Nebraska firing a 379. Rachel Spiry, whose score did not count towards the team total, shot a 375.

Nebraska's aggregate score of 1,543 out of a possible 1,600 toppled Austin Peay State's 1,411. The Huskers continue competition in the smallbore on Sunday.
