The University of Nebraska volleyball team continued its dominance in the Big 12 this week, only this time it was in the classroom. The Huskers had a league-high with eight first-team Phillips 66 Academic All-Big 12 selections. Seniors Kim Crandall, Nikki Henk, Mandy Monson and Tonia Tauke were all named to the team along with juniors Katie Jahnke, Jill McWilliams, Nancy Meendering and Angie Oxley. It marks the third straight year Nebraska has led the Big 12 in Phillips 66 academic all-conference selections.
Tauke, a graduate student in broadcast journalism earned the honor for the third straight season, along with Jahnke, a veterinary science major. Monson, a business administration major, also earned the award for the third time in her career. Oxley and Meendering earned their second award, while Crandall, Henk and McWilliams earned academic all-conference honrs for the first time.
