Junior Sandra Noetzel Closing in On Record
Nebraska junior Sandra Noetzel is now just two wins away from becoming the all-time winningest Husker tennis player.
With her two wins this past weekend, Noetzel has 74 career singles victories, putting her in a tie for second place on the list with now NU assistant coach Lisa Hart. The top mark of 75 is currently held by Iidiko Guba(1988-91).
Nebraska Head Coach Scott Jacobson is not surprised with the success Noetzel has had.
"She is the best player ever to play at the University of Nebraska," Jacobson said. "There is no doubt about in my mind."
