Lincoln, Neb. -- Nebraska Football Head Coach Frank Solich announced the promotion of assistant coach Turner Gill and the hiring of four new assistant coaches Monday. Solich named Barney Cotton as offensive coordinator, Tim Albin as passing game coordinator and running backs coach, Scott Downing as recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach and Marvin Sanders as secondary coach. In addition, Gill has been named assistant head coach and running backs coach Dave Gillespie has been named Assistant Athletic Director for Football. Jeff Jamrog has also assumed duties of special teams coordinator.
