All four seniors contributed goals for the No. 7 Nebraska soccer team Friday night as the Huskers (2-0-1) defeated Belmont University (0-4-0), 7-0, in front of 764 fans at the Abbott Sports Complex.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
Senior Christine Latham scored her second game-winning goal of the season 7:32 into the game on a penalty kick to begin the Huskers scoring assault.
Kori Saunders contributed her first goal of the season at the 20:44 mark, adding the second senior goal of the evening. Breanna Boyd came in from the defense, scoring just six minutes later for a 3-0, Nebraska advantage.
Sophomore Iman Haynes stepped up with the team veterans, adding goal number three 30 minutes into the game, but the seniors were not finished. Leah Lamale completed the senior scoring effort with her first career goal just five minutes before the end of the first half.
The freshmen were not to be outdone, as Aly Scace and Vern Fitzgerald added their first goals as Huskers at the 85:34 and 87:47 mark, respectively. Fellow freshman Nikki Baker added a great deal of offense as well, adding five shots, three shots on goal, and one assist for the evening.
