Lincoln -- Several Huskers will participate in postseason bowls this season. Last week, linebacker Jamie Burrow participated in the East-West Shrine game in Palo Alto, Calif., and four Huskers are scheduled to play in postseason games over the next month.
Tight end Tracey Wistrom and cornerback Keyuo Craver will play in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., on Saturday, Jan. 26. The game will kickoff in Ladd-Peebles Stadium at 4 p.m. Central and will be broadcast live on ESPN. The teams have not been determined for the game at this time.
Defensive tackle Jeremy Slechta will play for the Florida team in the all-star Tyco Gridiron Classic at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla., on Jan. 26. The game will kickoff at 1 p.m. Central and will be broadcast live on ESPN. Cornerback Erwin Swiney is still listed as a first alternate for the Gridiron Classic.
Quarterback Eric Crouch will start at quarterback for the Hula Bowl, which will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2. The Hula Bowl will kickoff in War Memorial Stadium in Maui at 3 p.m. (7 p.m. Central) and will be broadcast live on ESPN. Crouch will play for the Kai team coached by Oregon State
