Ugis Svazs

Ugis Svazs joined the Huskers as a volunteer throws coach in 2014-15. Svazs competed at Idaho and was a first-team All-American in 2013. He is the Idaho school-record holder in the javelin with a throw of 240-7 (73.34m) at the Duane Hartman Invitational on April 27, 2013. Svazs finished eighth at the 2013 Outdoor National Championships to earn all-America honors, throwing 232-0 (70.71m) in the finals. He threw 237-0 (72.25m) at the NCAA West Preliminary Round to take fourth in qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Svazs was also a first-team All-WAC honoree.
