Philip Carpio

Philip Carpio spent one year in the Nebraska Athletic Department as a Coordinator of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion/Life Skills from 2022 to 2023.

Carpio assisted in planning and facilitating N-volved, a leadership group focused on social climate and interpersonal skills. Carpio provided guidance and support to student-athletes and assisted in the planning of the Huskers' annual Diversity and Inclusion Summit for NU Athletics staff and student-athletes.

Prior to Nebraska, Carpio was the head cheerleading coach at UIC in 2012-20. In 2012-13, Carpio coached the Chicago Bulls cheerleaders.

Carpio earned his bachelor's degree from University of Northern Iowa in 2009 and is set to earn a master's degree in sports administration from Arkansas State University in December 2022.
