Orval Borgialli spent 14 seasons as Nebraska's head wrestling coach from 1964-78. He finished with a 73-105-6 dual record, while coaching one Husker to All-America status.
Borgialli came to Nebraska in the fall of 1964 after coaching wrestling at Niobrara County High School in Lusk, Wyo., one of the toughest wrestling schools in the state.
A native of Newcastle, Wyo., he participated in high school wrestling, football and track. White attending Nebraska State Teachers College in Chadron, he was on the wrestling team and was never defeated in dual competition. He also participated in four years of college football.
Borgialli appeared in the 1970 edition of Outstanding Young Men of America. He alsoo was the meet director for the wrestling competition during the 1974 Juinor Olympics held in Lincoln in the summer of 1975.
