Michael Booker III joined Nebraska Athletics as an Assistant Academic Counselor in August 2026. He supports the academic development and overall success of Nebraska football student-athletes. A former Husker football student-athlete, Booker brings first-hand experience navigating the academic, athletic and personal demands of collegiate athletics to his role supporting current student-athletes.
During his time at Nebraska, Booker earned Academic All-Big Ten honors four times and was recognized as a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar. He was also a recipient of the Jackie Robinson Community & Impact Award, Sam Foltz 27 Hero Leadership Award and Heart & Soul Award, while earning recognition on the Brook Berringer and Tom Osborne Citizenship Teams.
Booker earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in marketing from Nebraska in 2025 and a graduate certificate in strategic innovation and entrepreneurship in 2026.
As a second-generation Husker, he is proud to return to Nebraska Athletics and help student-athletes pursue academic success, develop as leaders, and prepare for life beyond college athletics.
