Keanon Lowe

Keanon Lowe joined the Nebraska coaching staff in February of 2021 as an offensive analyst. A University of Oregon graduate, Lowe played for Nebraska Head Coach Scott Frost as a student-athlete with the Ducks.

Lowe joined the Nebraska staff after spending the 2020 season as an analyst at UCLA, working under Head Coach Chip Kelly.

A Portland, Ore., native, Lowe briefly served as the head coach at West Linn High School in Oregon before taking the UCLA job. He was the head coach at Parkrose High in 2018 and 2019, guiding the school to a 12-7 record in two seasons. Parkrose won a conference championship and earned its first playoff victory in school history in 2019. Lowe was named the 5A Coach of the Year in 2019. 

While at Parkrose, Lowe gained national attention when he disarmed a gunman without violence at the school in 2019. He won a Congressional Medal of Honor Citizen Honor Award and was named as one of TIME Magazine’s 2019 Heroes of the Year.

Lowe got his start in coaching in the NFL, spending time on Kelly’s coaching staffs with the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles.

Lowe was a standout receiver at Oregon with 68 career catches for nearly 900 yards and 11 touchdowns from 2011 to 2014. During Lowe’s first two seasons as a player, Frost served as the Ducks’ receivers coach before being promoted to offensive coordinator. In Lowe’s final two years, current Nebraska offensive coordinator Matt Lubick served as Oregon’s receivers coach.
