A two-time All-Big Ten selection for the Huskers from 2013-2016, Jaycie Johnson returned to Nebraska in 2020 to serve as a volunteer coach for the women's soccer team.
Johnson finished her Husker career with 42 goals (tied for sixth-most in Husker history), 17 career game-winning goals (second-most in program history) and nine career multiple-goal games (tied for seventh in program history). A three-time Nebraska scholar-athlete honor roll selection, Johson graduated in the spring of 2017 with a degree in advertising and public relations.
Following a successful collegiate career, Johnson was drafted 27th overall in the 2017 NWSL Draft by the North Carolina Courage. A knee injury kept her out of the 2017 season, but she returned to play for Reign FC in 2018 and 2019.
As a senior in 2016, Johnson led the Huskers with 11 goals during her final season at Nebraska, helping lead the team to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in four years. Johnson collected numerous honors following the season, including NSCAA All-America (Third Team), NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region (First Team) and All-Big Ten first-team accolades. She started all 22 games, amassing over 2,000 minutes, scoring six game-winning goals and added two assists.
