After a career that saw him earn two All-America honors for Nebraska, Jacob Klein joined the NU coaching staff as an administrative assistant for the 2006-07 season. Klein helped the Huskers to a 10-7-1 dual record during the season, which saw Nebraska finished fourth at the Big 12 Championships and 16th at the NCAA Championships.
Klein finished his career with a 94-33 record. He finished seventh at the 2004 NCAA Championships at 165 pounds to earn his first All-America honor after starting the tournament unseeded, then followed that with a seventh-place finish in 2005 at 174. Klein qualified for nationals all four years and was a four-year starter and letterwinner for NU. For his efforts in the weight room, Klein was named the 2003 Husker Power Lifter of the Year for wrestling.
A native of Valley Center, Kan., Klein graduated from NU with a degree in communication studies.
