Izzy Pineda joined the Nebraska Athletic staff on a full-time basis in May of 2022 as a Creative Media Specialist and was promoted to Associate Director of Creative and Emerging Media in March of 2024. Pineda oversees social media for the Husker Volleyball program and helps with other sports on a day-to-day basis.
From August 2020 to May 2022, she served as an intern within the creative and emerging media department, where she worked as a student worker for women's and men's gymnastics, softball and volleyball. As a student at Nebraska, she earned her BFA in Emerging Media Arts from the Hixson-Lied College for Fine & Performing Arts. She gained full-time status in the spring of 2022 while finishing her undergraduate degree at the university.
Pineda and NU's Creative department were honored with a 2024 Heartland Regional Emmy as co-editor and organization, respectively. The award-winning short film “The Place: 92,003” premiered as Nebraska Athletics’ in-house feature of the historic Volleyball Day in Nebraska event.
A native of Bellevue, Neb., Pineda graduated from Nebraska in May of 2023.
