Ethan Bauer joined the performance nutrition team in June of 2016. He currently serves as an assistant sports dietitian for the Husker football program, assisting Dave Ellis in the development and implementation of sports nutrition services for all football student-athletes in order to optimize their overall health and performance. During his time with the performance nutrition program, Bauer has also worked with the basketball, baseball and wrestling programs and is heavily involved in day-to-day operations at the Lewis Training Table.
Bauer grew up on a farm in Morse Bluff, Neb., and graduated from North Bend Central High School. He received undergraduate degrees in both justice studies and nutrition and wellness from Chadron State College in 2015. While attending Chadron State, Bauer was a part of the football program and earned academic All-America honors.
Bauer enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2016 in order to complete his coursework necessary to become a registered dietitian (RD).
