A four-year letterwinner (2010-13) for the Nebraska swimming and diving team, Ellan Dufour enters her second season as a graduate assistant coach for the Huskers in 2015-16.
The Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, native was a standout backstroke specialist throughout her four years at Nebraska, tallying 56 top-five finishes and 13 victories throughout her career.
Dufour set two career-best times in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke at the 2013 Big Ten Championships. Her time in the 200-yard backstroke broke an 18-year-old school record set by Jane Glazebrook in 1995.
Dufour graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2014, with her degree in Fisheries and Wildlife, including a minor in Animal Science. She is now attending graduate school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the Animal Science department with a focus on Ruminant Nutrition.
