Derrick Sheppard

Derrick Sheppard joined Nebraska Athletics as the Director of Ticket Sales in August of 2025. In his role, Sheppard oversees the ticket sales and service teams for all ticketed Husker sports.

Sheppard arrived in Lincoln following his time with Omaha Athletics, where he began as Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Ticketing in July 2022 before being elevated to Associate Athletic Director in the spring of 2023. At Omaha, he led efforts related to season ticket sales, renewals, and the day-to-day operations for all ticketed Maverick athletic events.

Prior to his time at Omaha, Sheppard spent five years with the University of South Dakota in various roles within the Coyote ticket office. Most recently, he guided the department as Director of Ticket Sales and Operations, managing all aspects of sales, renewals, and game day ticket operations. He previously held the position of Assistant Director of Ticket Operations for two seasons after beginning his career as a graduate assistant in 2018.

A Fremont, Nebraska native, Sheppard earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Sioux Falls and a Master's degree in Sport Management from the University of South Dakota. He was a member of the track and field programs at both institutions.

Sheppard is joined in Lincoln by his wife, Molly.
