Denise Howell

Denise Howell served as a Learning Specialist at Nebraska until 2023. Howell worked with a variety of sports. In addition, she assisted with monitoring the initial eligibility of incoming student-athletes.

Before joining the athletic department, Howell served at UNL as an Academic Advisor and Interim Director for the College of Education and Human Sciences from 2003 to 2012.  Prior to that, she was the mathematics learning specialist for Student Support Services from 2001 to 2003.

Howell earned her degree in secondary mathematics from Kearney State College in 1988. She continued her education at UNL and earned a master’s degree in education in 2003.

Howell and her husband, Greg, together have three children, Ali, Morgan and John.
