Brandon Yoder joined Nebraska Athletics in January 2024 as Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Medicine, where he oversees the department's athletic medicine staff and coordination of medical care.
Prior to Nebraska, Yoder spent 10 years at Marquette University, culminating in his promotion to Assistant Athletics Director of Sports Medicine in 2022. During his tenure, he directed the day-to-day operations of the sports medicine department while serving as the primary athletic trainer for men's basketball and men's golf.
Before arriving at Marquette, Yoder spent nine years at Kansas State University, including five seasons as the primary athletic trainer for the Wildcats' men's basketball program. In addition to overseeing the team's sports medicine needs, he coordinated all athletic medicine operations for the Basketball Training Facility. Earlier in his K-State career, Yoder worked with the baseball, women's equestrian and track and field programs. The Wildcat baseball team earned its first NCAA Tournament berth during his final season with the program in 2009.
Leading up to his work at K-State, Yoder began his full-time collegiate athletics career at the University of Cincinnati, where he worked with the Bearcats' football and baseball programs for one year. Prior to Cincinnati, Yoder served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at SMU, he was the primary healthcare provider for the men's and women's tennis teams and assisted the Mustangs' football program for two years under National Athletic Trainers' Association Hall of Fame member Cash Birdwell.
Yoder earned bachelor's degrees in athletic training and physical education from Graceland University in 2003. A four-year letterwinner for the Yellowjacket baseball program, he combined his academic and athletic experiences to launch a distinguished career in collegiate sports medicine.
Yoder and his wife, Kelly, have four children: daughters Peyton, Kamryn and Brooklyn, and son Bryant.
