Blake Day

Blake Day joined Nebraska Athletics in April 2025 as the Associate AD of Leadership Gifts. Day provides oversight for the Huskers leadership gifts team and directs and develops plans to maximize fundraising revenue in concert with strategic priorities and objectives. 

Day joins Nebraska after serving as the Senior Vice President for the Northern State University Foundation in Aberdeen, South Dakota, from July 2021-April 2025. In this role, Day led the NSU Foundation's overall development efforts, while managing principal and leadership level fundraising activities to raise private support for NSU. 

Prior to NSU, Day served his alma mater, South Dakota State University, where he worked as Associate Athletic Director for Development, leading development efforts for Jackrabbit Athletics since 2017, including annual giving, major gifts, special events, hospitality efforts, and various fundraising initiatives. 

Day also spent time in development roles at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas, and Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. 

Blake, a native of Winner, South Dakota, earned his bachelor's degree in business economics as well as his master's degree in sport and recreation studies from South Dakota State.
