AJ Dingledine joined the Nebraska Athletic Department as an assistant academic counselor in June of 2019. He serves as an academic counselor and mentor for a variety of teams at Nebraska. Dingledine also assists with aspects of the tutorial program.
Since joining Nebraska, Dingledine has continued to advance his experience in mentoring a diverse group of student-athletes, initial eligibility, continuing eligibility, progress toward degree, advising/registration, the Summer Bridge program, new student enrollment and new student orientations.
Prior to coming to Nebraska, Dingledine served as an athletic academic graduate assistant at Northern Kentucky University from 2017-2019. At Northern Kentucky, he worked with the men’s soccer team on course selection, scheduling, mentoring, reporting to the coaching staff and assisted with aspects of PTD and certification. He also mentored student-athletes on the men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and track and field teams.
A Lincoln native, Dingledine played soccer at Northeastern State University from 2007-2008 and Hastings College from 2009 to 2010. Dingledine holds a bachelor’s degree from Hastings College, a master’s degree in sport management from the University of Northern Colorado and earned an MBA from Northern Kentucky University.
