Career Notes
2008-Foust notched a 9-10 record at 165 pounds during the 2007-08 season. Foust claimed 2-2 marks at the Cowboy Open on Nov. 10 and Kaufman-Brand Open on Nov. 17, before going 1-1 at the Bob Smith Open on Dec. 1. Foust placed sixth at the UNK Loper Open on Dec. 8 with a 3-3 showing at the tournament, and ended his season with a 1-2 mark at the Brand Open on Jan. 19.
2007-With a strong finish that saw him win seven of his last 10 matches and finish in the top four twice, Foust completed his third year at NU with a 13-11 record. Foust closed his season with a 6-4 sudden-victory win over T.H. Leet of Iowa to clinch third place at the Glen Brand Open on Jan. 20.
2006-Foust did not compete in a match for Nebraska.
2005-With a pair of top-six finishes, Foust made the most of his redshirt year with 27 matches of experience, including 13 victories.
Before Nebraska-Foust was an all-state wrestler at 171 pounds for Coach Benny Coleman at Choctaw High School. Foust, who was a four-year letterman in wrestling, was also an all-conference football player who earned three letters on the gridiron. Cody attended Choctaw High School, the alma mater of 2004 125-pound NCAA champion Jason Powell.
Personal-The son of Steve and Kathy Foust, Cody was born on Nov. 4, 1984. He has two sisters, Brandy (20) and Casie (13), and one brother, Rhino (11). Cody is a nutritional science and dietetics major.
