1989: Senior Season
In Virginia Stahr's last season as a Husker she played in 31 of 33 matches and 102 games. Stahr notched 257 kills and .440 hitting percentage in 1989. Stahr also contributed greatly on the defensive side, tallying 236 digs and 29 solo blocks. Stahr had one of her best matches of the year against Missouri, where hit .714 for the three-game sweep. Stahr had a seven block assist performance against Illinois and Hawaii. Stahr's strong senior season earned her Big Eight Player-of-the-Year, First-Team All-Big Eight, Big Eight Player-of-the-Week (twice) and Big Eight All-Tournament honors. A star in the classroom, Stahr earned GTE Academic All-America, GTE Academic All-America-Player-of-the-Year, First-Team Academic All-Big Eight and Delta Scholar-Athlete of the Year accolades.
1988: Junior Season
Her .404 hitting percentage was a Husker record, led the Big Eight and ranked eighth nationally. It was the second-consecutive season her hitting mark was ranked in the nation's top 10. Her 449 kills last fall were the school's fourth-best season total, and she had 25 matches with 10 or more kills. Her 3.94 kill-per-game average was the fourth-best in NU history, her 30 solo blocks tied for fourth and her 112 blocking assists ranked fourth. She also led the team with 44 service aces. Against NCAA 1988 NCAA champion Texas, she had a career-high 31 kills, second-best match total for a Husker and on 11 occasions, registered .500 or better hitting percentages.
1987: Sophomore Season
She led the Huskers, the Big Eight and was third nationally with a .397 hitting percentage. She established a Nebraska record of 129 blocking assists, and the third-best season mark with 63 service aces. She was voted first-team All-Big Eight, first-team GTE Academic All-America, AVCA Midwest All-Region, two-time Big Eight Player-of-the-Week and all-tournament selection three-times.
1986: Freshman Season
Stahr earned second-team All-Big Eight honors after posting a .367 hitting percentage, the 11th-best in the nation, and collecting 266 kills. She had 25 solo and 97 blocking assists and helped the Huskers to an NCAA national runner-up finish.
