2006: Senior Year
Senior tri-captain who moved from setter to libero in 2006 to help Nebraska’s defense and finished her career as one of only two players to rank among NU’s all-time leaders in both digs (1,281, second) and assists (2,925, eighth) • Four-year starter who guided NU to a 124-10 record, the best four-year mark in school history, three Big 12 titles, two NCAA finals appearances and a national title in 2006 • Big 12’s best libero in 2006 who helped NU limit opponents to a Big 12-low .144 hitting percentage • Led the Big 12 with 5.04 digs per game while also averaging 0.18 service aces and 0.77 assists per game, becoming only the second Big 12 player to average more than five digs per game • Set NU’s single-season digs record with 580, breaking the previous mark of 480 by Amanda McCormick in 2004 • Reached double figures in digs in 32 of 34 matches, including 21 straight matches with at least 10 digs before the streak was snapped on Nov. 15 against Texas A&M • Saved her best defensive performance for the NCAA semifinals, totaling a career-high 29 digs - the second-highest postseason performance in school history - against No. 4 UCLA on Dec. 14 • Reached 20 digs nine times, including 21 digs in the national championship win over No. 2 Stanford on Dec. 16 • Tied for team-high honors with 17 digs in NU’s comeback win over No. 9 Minnesota on Dec. 9 • Finished with 20 digs and a pair of kills in NU’s first-round win over American, holding the Eagles to .050 hitting • Totaled a match-high 15 digs and a season-high seven assists in helping to hold No. 8 Texas to .138 hitting in a win over the Longhorns on Nov. 25 • Has had 20 or more digs six times, including a career-high 23 digs at Iowa State on Nov. 8, at Kansas State on Oct. 28 and at Creighton on Sept. 24 • Matched a career high with 23 digs at Kansas State on Oct. 28, holding KSU to a season-low .050 hitting in a 3-0 Husker win • Totaled a match-high 14 digs in NU’s sweep of No. 16 Missouri on Oct. 25, helping NU hit .425 against the Tigers • Enjoyed match-high honors with 19 digs and five assists in NU’s win at No. 9 Texas on Oct. 18 • Led NU with 19 digs and three aces against Kansas State on Oct. 4 • Posted a career-best 23 digs in a win over Creighton on Sept. 24 • Recorded a then-career-high 21 digs and three aces in a sweep at Oklahoma on Sept. 21 • Totaled 20 digs and a pair of service aces against No. 20 San Diego on Aug. 29 • Matched her then-career high with 20 digs in a sweep of No. 25 Cal Poly on Sept. 9

2005: Junior Year
Busboom efficiently guided Nebraska’s 6-2 offense to one of the most prolific seasons in school history • Played in all 116 games, averaging 6.45 assists and 1.82 digs per game, spearheading an attack that ranked fourth nationally in hitting percentage (.322) and kills per game (17.12) and was eighth in assists per game (15.72) • Totaled 25 or more assists 10 times, including a season-high 33 at No. 11 Texas on Nov. 26, while helping NU hit .350 or better in 16 matches • Posted her first double-double of the season with 31 assists and 11 digs in a victory at No. 5 Minnesota on Sept. 5 • Recorded 21 assists and nine digs in a sweep of No. 20 Texas A&M on Sept. 21 • Had 26 digs and nine assists in a four-game victory at No. 7 Missouri on Oct. 5 • Totaled a double-double against No. 18 Texas on Oct. 15 with 17 assists and 10 digs • Had 19 assists and six digs, while helping the Huskers hit .422 in a sweep at No. 23 Kansas State on Oct. 19 • Picked up her third double-double of the year in NU’s five-game thriller against No. 12 Missouri with 30 assists and a season-high 13 digs • Totaled 16 assists and a season best three aces against No. 14 UCLA on Dec. 9 • Had 16 assists and five digs in a sweep of Santa Clara on Dec. 15, as NU hit .449 against the Broncos.

2004: Sophomore Year
Busboom earned honorable-mention AVCA All-Central Region honors in her first season as NU’s setter, guiding an offense that ranked in the top 15 nationally in hitting percentage and kills per game • Finished third in the Big 12 with 13.10 assists per game, the highest average since All-American Fiona Nepo in 1998, and became only the fifth Husker setter to ever average more than 13 assists per game • Totaled 50-or-more assists nine times, including a career-high 66 in a win at No. 16 Kansas State on Oct. 13 • Tallied 64 assists against both USC on Dec. 11 and at Notre Dame on Sept. 4 • Posted a team-best 15 double-doubles (assists-digs), including 10 in Big 12 play • Shined in a sweep of Missouri on Sept. 15, with 50 assists, eight digs and four kills • Turned in a career night at Kansas State on Oct. 13 with 66 assists - NU’s highest single-match total since 2000 - while helping NU hit .356 as a team • Was third on the team with 2.59 digs per game, matching her career high of 18 digs in the regional final against USC on Dec. 11 • Averaged 0.56 blocks per game, including a career-best five blocks against Maryland on Sept. 12 and Oklahoma on Oct. 9 • Totaled 19 service aces • Excelled in the classroom, earning first-team academic All-Big 12 honors

2003: Freshman Year
Busboom played in every match as a freshman, splitting time with Michelle Lynch in the 6-2 offense • Averaged 5.98 assists per game, as her 700 assists were the second-highest total in history by a Husker freshman • Topped NU in assists in the Huskers’ last five matches, while averaging 7.40 assists per game in three NCAA Tournament matches • Recorded a season-high 36 assists in a win over Baylor • Had four of her five double-doubles (assists-digs) in NU’s final five matches • Finished third on the squad with 33 service aces, a total which ranked second on NU’s all-time freshman chart • Also averaged 1.84 digs per game, including a season-high 18 in the NCAA Regional against UCLA on Dec. 12.

High School
Busboom was a three-sport standout at Adams Freeman High School, starring in volleyball, basketball and track • Shared the Lincoln Journal Star Girls High School Athlete-of-the-Year Award with NU teammate Christina Houghtelling and was the only Omaha World-Herald First-Team All-Nebraska selection in both volleyball and basketball in 2002-03 • Earned first-team Super State honors from the Lincoln Journal Star in each of her last three seasons • Committed to NU following her sophomore season and moved from outside hitter to setter as a senior • Was a four-time all-state selection who led Adams Freeman to a 29-2 record and Class D-1 state tournament semifinals in 2002 • Finished with 272 kills, 227 assists, 69 blocks and a state-record 104 aces as a senior • Set state records for career service aces (388) and service aces in a single match (11) • Excelled on the basketball court, where she was a four-time first-team all-state selection and a two-time Super State honoree • Averaged 18 points per game as a senior while leading 28-0 Freeman to its second straight Class D-1 state title and totaled 1,712 career points • Lettered three times in track and  won the Class D 100-meter high hurdles at the 2003 Nebraska state track and field meet • Graduated from high school with a 3.98 grade-point average.Â
