2022-23 (Senior)
Sara Troyer did not compete during the 2022-23 season due to injury.

2021-22 (Senior)
Troyer led the way in the diving well all season, notching eleven meet titles and taking her third trip to the NCAA Zone Championships.

Troyer captured a pair of wins in the one-meter and three-meter diving events at Nebraska’s opening dual against South Dakota State. In a dual against Iowa, Troyer claimed first in the three-meter, while adding a third-place finish in the one-meter. As a consistent contributor for Nebraska, Troyer put up two victories (one meter, three meter) against Iowa State (Oct. 30) and two runner-up finishes (one meter, three meter) against Minnesota (Oct. 29). While competing in Ames, Iowa, Troyer broke the 13-year-old facility record at Beyer Pool in the three-meter with her 343.20.

Her success continued at the Kansas dual, where she swept the diving events again. At the Mizzou Invitational, Troyer put up a pair of fourth-place finishes in the one-meter (278.10) and the three-meter (306.90). In December, Troyer represented the Huskers at the USA Diving Winter Nationals in her home state and claimed 22nd in the three-meter with a 215.90 and 26th in the one-meter with a 204.00. Troyer recorded two top-five finishes at the Bruin Diving Invitational in Los Angeles. Troyer finished out dual season with a career-best dive in the three-meter (382.35) at Illinois to claim the title. She also won the one-meter in Champaign, followed by a pair of runner-up finishes against Rutgers.

At the Big Ten Championships, Troyer earned a spot in the one meter consolation finals, where she finished 13th overall with a 263.75. She capped off her season at Zones, taking 18th in the three meter with a 581.60 and 23rd in the one meter with a 253.95.

2020-21 (Junior)
Troyer continued to prove herself as one of the top divers in the Big Ten. The junior notched a pair of top-10 finishes at the 2021 Big Ten Diving Championships in West Lafayette, Ind., including a third-place performance on the one-meter event with a career-best 319.35. She added a 10th-place finish on the three-meter dive (313.70). She scored 44 team points for the Huskers in the two events, helping Nebraska to its best Big Ten team finish since joining the conference in 2011-12. Troyer earned a trip to the 2021 NCAA Championships by finishing 10th on the one meter and 12th on the three meter at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships. At nationals, Troyer took 25th on the one-meter board and 27th in the three-meter dive. A star in the classroom, Troyer captured First-Team CSCAA Scholar All-America honors for the second straight season.

2019-20 (Sophomore)
Troyer erupted for a breakout sophomore season for Nebraska, earning CSCAA All-America honors after qualifying for the NCAA Championships with a fourth-place finish on the three-meter event at the NCAA Zone D Championships. Troyer’s 342.00 in the finals was a top-three performance in Husker history and secured a Nebraska diver a spot at the NCAA Championships for the seventh consecutive season. Unfortunately, Troyer was unable to compete in the one meter or three meter at nationals because the championships were canceled due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in mid-March. Troyer produced Nebraska’s top individual finish at the 2020 Big Ten Championships with her fifth-place finish in the three-meter dive (315.40). She added a 10th-place performance (271.55) on the one-meter board at the conference meet. During the season, Troyer captured 16 top-five finishes, including 10 victories. In the classroom, she was a First-Team CSCAA Scholar All-American and a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.

2018-19 (Freshman)
Troyer had an impressive freshman campaign while focusing on the one- and three-meter diving events. She had 14 top-five finishes, including three wins and seven runner-up showings. Against Northern Iowa, she notched a one-meter score of 297.90 to win the event. She also won the one-meter competition at the Wally Nakamoto Diving Invitational. Against Northern Iowa, Troyer posted a season-best three-meter score of 326.32. Competing at the Big Ten Championships, Troyer had a strong showing in both events to finish her season, finishing 11th in the three-meter dive (296.25) and 33rd in the one-meter (242.50). Away from the pool, Troyer received CSCAA Scholar All-American honorable mention honors.

Before Nebraska
Troyer joined the Huskers after diving to a 2018 Indiana State Championship on the one-meter board while helping Northridge High School to a team runner-up finish. She earned First-Team All-State honors. Troyer and her team were sectional champions in 2017. She finished third on the one meter at the 2017 IHSAA State Championships. Troyer also played softball and earned four letters as a catcher. In 2018, Troyer was a regional finalist in the one and three-meter dives for the Indiana International School of Diving, placing fifth and sixth, respectively. She was also a national qualifier in 2017.
