2018 (Sophomore)

Kelli Chung added depth on beam but did not see action in a lineup. She earned the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for her energy and contributions outside of the gym. Named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters of 2017-18, Chung earned academic All-BigTen honors in 2018 and was a member of the 2018 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

2017 (Redshirt Freshman)

Healthy after suffering an injury that kept her from competing in 2016, Chung added valuable depth to the roster in 2017, but did not see action in a meet.

She continued to her strong work outside of the gym, as she was named Academic All-Big Ten in 2017. She also claimed spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall and spring semesters of 2016-17. She was also a member of the 2017 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

2016 (Redshirt) 
Chung trained on all four events as a freshman, but suffered a preseason elbow injury that kept her from contributing her gymnastics in the 2016 season. 

Chung got off to an excellent start outside the gym, as she was named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in each of her first two semesters. She was also named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team for her work in the community in 2016.

Before Nebraska
Chung trained at Gym-Max in Costa Mesa, Calif., under coaches Jenny and Howie Liang alongside fellow Husker Megan Kuo. A level 10 gymnast and two-time regional qualifier, Chung captured two vault titles and one bars title during her club career. At the 2015 Southern California State Championships, Chung tied for sixth on vault. She earned third place on beam at the 2014 state meet. Chung took eighth on vault at the Region 1 Championships in both 2014 and 2015. 

Personal
The daughter of Kevin and Sandra Chung, Kelli was born on March 18, 1997. She has one sister, Ashley, and two brothers, Kasey and Corey. Chung was a biological sciences major and earned her bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2019. She is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection. Chung was an eight-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll and was named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
