2017 (Redshirt Freshman)
Kami Shows worked hard to add depth to multiple lineups in 2017, but did not see action in a meet. She showed promise in exhibition routines on bars against Michigan, Iowa, Minnesota, and at the Masters Classic.

Shows continued her hard work outside of the gym by being named Academic All-Big Ten for the first time in 2017. She was also named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2016, and she earned a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2017 for her work in the community.

2016 (Redshirt)
Shows redshirted in 2016. She provided strong depth for the Huskers in her first year, earning exhibition spots on bars and beam. She scored a strong 9.85 in exhibition on uneven bars against Utah State. Shows also competed in exhibition on balance beam at the Masters Classic.

A standout in the classroom, Shows earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters. She was also named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team for her work in the community.

Before Nebraska
Shows competed for Southern California Elite Gymnastics Academy (SCEGA) under coaches Kathy Strate and Ryan Covo in Temecula, Calif. A three-time J.O. National qualifier, Shows completed a successful club gymnastics career with five years of experience at Level 10. She won two regional bar championships, capturing titles at the Region 1 Championships in 2011 and 2012. At the 2011 J.O. National Championships, Shows finished in the top 10 on floor and in the all-around, while notching a sixth-place finish on bars in the 2012 championships. She won titles in the all-around and on bars and floor at the Southern California State Championships in 2010. In 2015, Shows competed as a bars and beam specialist after suffering an Achilles injury in 2014. She chose Nebraska over LSU, Missouri and Arizona.
