1989: Senior Season
Cara Baker appeared in all 33 matches and 116 games in her final year as a Husker.  One of Baker's best matches of the season came against Kansas where she registered three solo blocks in the win.  Baker notched 272 digs on the season and 233 kills.  Baker posted a .337 hitting percentage in 1989.  She earned honorable-mention All-Big Eight and Big Eight Player-of-the-Week accolades.  A standout in the classroom, Baker also was recognized as a GTE Academic All-American and Lee Jeans Big Eight All-Academic.

1988: Junior Season
Baker recorded a personal-best 19 kills in a match against Texas, and finished with 232 kills.  She also registered a career-high five service aces in the NU victory against Colorado.  Her season-total of 98 blocking assists the sixth-best on the NU charts, while her 21 solo blocks rank ninth.  Her defense showed improvement, as she tallied 216 digs, to just 61 in her first two seasons.  She earned honorable-mention All-Big Eight and received her second Lee Jeans Academic All-Big Eight selection.

1987: Sophomore Season
Baker earned a starting berth with the Huskers and responded with a .289 hitting mark and the school's second-best blocking assist total of 125.  She established a Nebraska record with 12 blocking assists in the five-game victory against Minnesota and on two occasions registered two solo blocks.

1986: Freshman Season
Baker saw limited action, playing behind two-time All-American Karen (Dahlgren) Schonewise.  She has a dozen kills and hit .218, while collecting two solo blocks and 11 assists.
