2012: Senior
Allison McNeal claimed academic All-Big Ten honors and a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for the Huskers in 2012 • Played in 28 matches as a senior • Exploded offensively for Nebraska against Colgate, recording 10 kills on 14 swings for a .571 hitting percentage • Also notched four total blocks in the match • Posted eight blocks against Duquesne on Sept. 7 • Had three kills and three blocks for the Huskers against UMES in the NCAA first round • Averaged 0.42 kills and 0.44 blocks per set in 2012.

2011: Junior
McNeal was sidelined with an injury for the 2011 season.

2010: Sophomore
McNeal started 17 matches and saw action in 23 matches overall during her sophomore campaign • Produced career highs in kills (10), attacks (16) and total blocks (nine) during the season • Averaged 1.33 kills and 0.88 blocks per set, while also hitting .500 or better in eight matches • Played in the Huskers’ NCAA Tournament opening sweep of Sacred Heart on Dec. 2, recording one block • Set a career high in blocks with nine and put away six kills on nine swings (.667) in a home sweep of Kansas State on Nov. 10 • Hit .500 (5-1-8) on Nov. 6 in a sweep of Texas Tech in Lubbock • Led the Huskers with eight blocks and added seven kills in a road win over Baylor on Sept. 25 • Recorded 10 kills on 16 swings, both career highs, and added three blocks in a four-set win over Kansas on Sept. 22 at the NU Coliseum • Hit .750 with six kills on eight swings along with two blocks in a win over Western Michigan on Sept. 10 during the Ameritas Players Challenge.

2009: Redshirt Freshman
McNeal gained valuable experience as a freshman, appearing in 11 matches, primarily when the Huskers shifted into a 6-2 offense • Averaged 0.68 kills and 0.47 blocks per set while hitting .321 on the season • Played in six Big 12 matches, including the regular-season finale against Colorado on Nov. 28, when she had three kills • Started against Texas Tech and had a block and a dig against the Red Raiders on Oct. 28 • Recorded a kill in her only swing at No. 19 Baylor on Oct. 14 • Came off the bench for a kill and a block in the last set against Texas A&M on Sept. 23 • Saw extensive action against Texas Tech on Sept. 16, recording a kill before suffering a bloody nose • Made her first career start against Louisiana-Lafayette on Sept. 4, totaling a season-high six kills on .333 hitting with a then- personal-best four blocks at the LSU Tiger Classic.

2008: Freshman
McNeal redshirted and provided depth at the middle blocker spot in her first year at Nebraska.

High School
McNeal was one of the country’s top middle blockers playing for Coach Donald Zapalac at Schulenburg High School • Rated as the No. 4 prospect in the country by Prepvolleyball.com and was chosen a Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 selection in 2008 • Totaled 399 kills and 208 blocks as a senior, leading Schulenburg High School to a regional final appearance • Totaled 10 or more blocks in seven matches and was named the Victoria Advocate Blocker of the Year • Highlighted her senior year with 23 kills and nine blocks against Rice High School in the district playoffs • Selected as the District 28-2A Hitter of the Year as a junior and senior • Enjoyed her best match as a junior against Edna with 25 kills while establishing career bests in blocks (13) and digs (12) • Garnered first-team all-state accolades for the first time as a junior, racking up 345 kills, 214 blocks, 156 digs and 64 service aces • Started for three seasons, amassing 987 kills, 532 blocks and 158 aces • Gained experience at both the club and international levels during her high school career • Started at middle blocker for the U.S. Youth National Team at the 2007 FIVB Girls’ Youth World Championship in Mexicali, Mexico • Played for four-time Olympian Tara Cross-Battle at the Texas Tornados Volleyball Club in 2008 following three years at the Texstar Volleyball Club under coaches Milton Kollere and Brian Froebel • Competed all four years in track and field in the high jump • Won the Texas Class 2A state title in the high jump in 2007 and was a two-time runner-up (2006, 2008) • Excelled in the classroom as well, carrying a 3.90 GPA • Looked at Florida, Texas and Texas A&M before selecting Nebraska.
