2010 (Junior/Sophomore)
Todd Gulizia (pronounced GUH-lizt-EE-uh) set three personal bests during the indoor season... started by breaking his previous best of 15:00.51 in the 5K at the adidas Classic with a time of 14:49.71... improved his 3K time two weeks later with a 8:25.31 at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational... bettered his mile time by over a second at the Nebraska Tune Up with a time of 4:16.31... set two more personal bests during the outdoor season... trimmed his 5K time to 14:47.14 at the Kanas Relays... cut nearly five seconds off his 10K time the next week at the Drake Relays with a time of 31:39.24.

2009 (Sophomore/Redshirt Freshman)

Gulizia started 2009 slow as he was still recovering from a back injury that he suffered during the 2008 cross country season... opened the year at the Holiday Inn Invitational, running a time of 8:55.26 in the 3,000 meters... cut his time down to 8:31.88 by the end of the season to finish first at the Nebraska Tune-Up... posted a season-best time of 15:07.99 in the 5,000 meters at the Tyson Invitational to finish third... ran the 1,500, 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 meters during the outdoor season, setting personal bests in all four races... set a personal best of 8:30.80 in the 3,000 meters at the Jim Click Shootout... posted a time of 3:57.49 in the 1,500 meters one week later at the Nebraska Invitational... shaved more than two seconds off his previous best of 14:52.84 in the 5,000 meters six days later at the John McDonnell Invitational with a time of 14:50.04... improved his 10,000-meter best of 32:18.90 at the Drake Relays with a seventh-place time of 31:44.35.

 

2008 (Freshman)

Gulizia started his collegiate career with a fifth-place finish in the mile at the Holiday Inn Invitational (4:23.49)...  shaved six seconds off his previous time at the Prairie Wolf Invitational to run a personal best of 4:17.98 to finish fourth... ran a personal-best time of 8:25.68 in the 3,000 meters at the Conference Challenge, ranking 21st all-time at Nebraska indoors... posted a personal-best time of 15:00.51 in the 5,000 meters at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational to finish fifth and record the No. 16 all-time mark indoors at NU... competed once outdoors at the Stanford Invitational in the 10,000 meters (32:18.90)... missed the rest of the outdoor season with mononucleosis and was granted a medical hardship.

 

Before Nebraska (Millard South HS)

The 2007 Nebraska Gatorade Track and Field Athlete of the Year, Gulizia swept the All-Class gold medals by winning the Class A titles in both the 1,600 (4:18.84) and 3,200 (9:16.36) under coaches Scot Rainbolt and Dustin Llewellyn... saved his best performance for his final high school race at the Nike Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, N.C., where he ran a time of 9:07.90 in the two mile (the second-best performance in Nebraska prep history)... placed fourth in the Class A 1,600 in 2006... was the silver medalist in the 3,200 in 2006 and finished seventh in 2005... earned Nebraska Class A and All-Class gold medals at the 2006 state cross country championships... chose Nebraska over Oklahoma and Kansas.
