Ellen Dougherty competed in six meets for Nebraska during the 2014 indoor season… recorded a pair of runner-up finishes in the 600 meters including a personal-best time of 1:31.93 at the Nebraska Tune-Up… posted a runner-up showing in the 800 meters at the Mark Colligan Memorial as she crossed the line in 2:12.35… finished the season with a personal-best time of 2:09.12 in the 800 meters at the Frank Sevigne Invitational… battled at the Big Ten Indoor Championships in the 800 meters on her way to a 17th-place finish… also finished 11thwith her Distance Medley Relay team at the Big Ten Indoor Championships.

Dougherty competed in six meets during the indoor season... set a personal-best time of 1:33.67 in the 600 meters at the Nebraska Tune-Up on Feb. 17... recorded a time of 2:12.96 (oversized) in the 800 meters at the Iowa State Classic... helped the women’s indoor distance medley relay team to a fourth-place finish at the 2012 Big Ten Indoor Championships, recording a time of 11:19.83... competed in five meets during the outdoor season... recorded a season-best time of 2:10.09 in the 800 meters at the Nebraska Invitational... competed in the 1,500 meters at the 2012 Big Ten Outdoor Championships, finishing with a personal-best time of 4:55.40.
2011 (Freshman)
Dougherty competed in six meets during the indoor track and field season... recorded a personal-best time of 1:24.35 in the 600 yards at the Texas A&M Challenge... notched a personal best of 2:14.87 in the 800 meters at the Frank Sevigne Invitational on Feb. 5... finished 20th in the 800 meters at the 2011 Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a time of 2:12.82... finished with a season-best time of 1:04.00 in the 400 hurdles at the Stanford Invitational on March 26... recorded a season-best 2:11.37 in the 800 meters at the Pepsi Invitational on April 9.
Before Nebraska (Sioux City East)
A 14-time state medalist and four-time state champion in Iowa’s Class 4A, Dougherty finished her senior season at Sioux City East High School ranked among Iowa’s all-time top-10 in the 400 (55.41), 800 (2:08.92) and 400 hurdles (1:01.25)...nationally, she swept the 400 and 800 meters at the 2006 USTF Junior Olympics in Baltimore, Md... capped the 2009 outdoor season with a fifth-place finish in the 800 meters (2:11.24) at the USA Junior Championships in Eugene, Ore... returned to the USA Junior Championships in 2010 at Drake Stadium, where she took eighth in the 800 (2:12.29).
