Mara Griva  capped a stellar senior season with two First-Team All-America accolades at the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Championships, bringing her total at Nebraska to 10… earned two second-team All-America honors at the 2013 NCAA Indoor Championships… finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 21-0 ¾ and sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 44-2 ½ at the NCAA Championships… won the 2013 Big Ten Outdoor long jump (20-9) and triple jump (43-5 ¼) titles, completing her sweep of the horizontal jumps in the Big Ten during the 2013 season… tallied outdoor first-team All-Big Ten accolades… was named the Big Ten Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year and of the Championships… was named the Big Ten Co-Field Athlete of the Week during the outdoor season... set outdoor season-best marks of 44-3 ½ (13.50) in the triple jump, 20-10 (6.35),21-0 ¾ (6.42) in the long jump and 136-1 (41.49) in the javelin during the outdoor season… also posted a personal-best time of 25.41 in the 200 meters during the outdoor season… won the long jump title at the 2013 Drake Relays with a mark of 20-6 ¼ (6.25) and also won the triple jump crown with a leap of 44-3 ½ (13.50) … at the NCAA Indoor Championships she finished 10th in the long jump (19-11 1/2) and 11th in the triple jump (42-4) at the NCAA Championships... earned the Big Ten indoor long jump title with a season-best leap of 20-9 (6.32)... finished second in the triple jump at the conference meet, posting a season-best jump of 42-11 1/2 (13.09)... earned first-team All-Big Ten honors... posted a season-best time of 8.00 in the 60 meters at the NWU Invite... notched a personal-best time of 25.97 in the 200 meters at the Holiday Inn Invitational... was named the Big Ten Indoor Field Athlete of the Week once during the season.

Griva joined the Huskers as an accomplished horizontal jumper from Ventspils, Latvia... took third at the Latvian National Championships in both the long and triple jumps with personal-best leaps of 20-2 1/4 and 41-5 1/4, respectively... broke her outdoor personal best in the long jump in May of 2010 with a leap of 21-4... cleared a PR of 43-7 one month later in the triple jump... won the long jump (20-6 1/2) and placed second in the triple jump (43-2 1/4) at the outdoor national championships.
