Outlook: Justin Junck signed with the Huskers in the summer of 2003, and was the only signee from this year's recruiting class to join the Huskers in time for the fall campaign. Junck has a good serve and strong forehand. His solid fundamental play combined with a determination and desire to win, could enable him to make an impact for the Huskers this spring, most likely in doubles action.

High School: Junck played for coach Tim West at East High School in Sioux City, Iowa. He lettered three times in tennis, playing at the top position for much of his career. Junck was a two-time district champion and reached the state tournament all four years, earning third-place finishes as a sophomore and senior and fifth place as a junior. During his senior season in 2003, he helped East to a 13-3-1 record, including 5-0 in Missouri River Activities Conference play. Junck went 16-1 in singles action, including a 15-match winning streak, and 4-0 in doubles play.

Personal: Justin is the son of Ronald and Linda Junck. He was born Sept. 21, 1984, and has one brother, Quint. He has not declared at major at Nebraska.
