2022-23: Junior
Nic Wiedenhorn found himself having his best singles season to date, tallying 11 wins including an 8-4 mark in spring competition. He competed solely in the No. 6 spot and went 4-2 in Big Ten play. He also picked up Nebraska’s second point with a win at the No. 6 spot in the Big Ten Quarterfinal matchup against Illinois on April 28. In doubles, he went 9-9 overall and 7-8 in the spring. He closed the season with doubles wins in each of the last two matches.
 
Off the court, Wiedenhorn was named to the 2023 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

2021-22: Sophomore
The Stuttgart, Germany native enjoyed a strong sophomore campaign going 9-12 in singles action and 16-16 in doubles competition. Wiedenhorn had five of his nine wins and the fall and ended conference play with back-to-back victories (Indiana and Penn State). He did most of his damage in doubles action, teaming with Victor Moreno Lozano exclusively in the No. 1 spot, posting a 6-9 record in that slot. The duo qualified for the ITA Fall National Championships after a strong outing in the ITA Regionals. They also recorded five wins at the Pacific Coast Doubles Championship and secured a doubles win in the Big Ten Tournament over Northwestern.

Off the court, Wiedenhorn earned the Sam Foltz 27 Leadership Award. He also claimed a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll and the Academic All-Big Ten team.

2020-21: Freshman
Wiedenhorn completed his first season at Nebraska with a 4-13 overall singles record. The freshman from Stuttgart, Germany, notched a win over Purdue’s Santiago Galan in Wiedenhorn's Big Ten debut. Wiedenhorn played in multiple positions in the lineup with a 1-1 record at No. 4, 2-4 record at No. 5, and 1-3 record at No. 6. In doubles, Wiedenhorn finished 5-10 on the season, with wins over Northwestern, Penn State and Minnesota.

Off the court, Wiedenhorn earned the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, which is given to individuals who have distinguished themselves through citizenship and ethical behavior. He also claimed a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2021.

Before Nebraska
Wiedenhorn announced his intentions to join the Husker tennis team in May of 2020. A talented competitor who represented his home country's under-16 team at the European Cup, Wiedenhorn was an under-16 German champion and has been a top five-ranked player in Germany since the age of 12. He comes to Nebraska from the southwestern German city of Stuttgart.

Personal
A sports media and communication major at Nebraska, Wiedenhorn is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection. A College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree and an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar in 2023, he is also a four-time member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. Nebraska's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner for men's tennis in 2021, he claimed a prestigious Sam Foltz Hero 27 Leadership Award in 2022. He is also a three-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
