2024 (Freshman)
Chase Mondi had an impressive freshman campaign as he was named both a CGA and Big Ten Freshman of the Week after the Huskers’ meet against Michigan. Mondi competed on both vault and floor in his third appearance as an NCAA collegiate athlete in his debut Husker season. On the floor exercise, the Lawrence, Kan., native headlined the event taking second overall, tying his career-best score in his rookie season (13.90). On vault, Mondi took sixth (14.60) and helped the Huskers match the current team record for the vault set back in 2018 at 73.200. Mondi competed regularly during the season, setting personal bests in the floor exercise with a 14.60 against Ohio State and a 14.85 in the vault.

Outside of the gym, Mondi was a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

Before Nebraska

Mondi competed for Emerald City Gymnastics under Head Coach Mike Thomas and Steve Glickley. The Lawrence, Kan. native is a 2021 National Champion on floor, a four-time level ten Kansas State Champion in the all-around, 2021 all-around regional champion, and a 2022 Elite Team Cup Champion on vault. Mondi also is a four-time Academic All-American, in addition to being a two-time Region Three Elite team member.
